    Perineal Care - also known as peri-care or perineal-genital care.

    Perineal Exposure - exposure of perineum for further inspection.

    Perineum - part of the body between the legs including the vagina (birth

    Perineal Heat Lamp - designed for radiant heat treatment to perineum thus

    Perineal Exposure – application of warmth to the perineal area with a heat

    Episiotomy - a surgical procedure that enlarges the vaginal opening during
    labor by cutting the perineum, the skin and muscles between
    the vulva and anus.

    Bedpan - a plastic receptacle for the urinary and feces discharge of person
    confined on bed.

    Lithotomy – a surgical procedure of a bladder stone, in which an incision
    was made in the perineum.



    ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF MALE AND FEMALE SEX ORGANS

    Perineum is the diamond-shaped area medial to the thighs and buttocks of both males and females. It contains the external genital and anus. The perineum is bounded anteriorly by the pubic symphysis, laterally by the ischial tuberosities and posteriorly by the coccyx. A transverse line drawn between the ischial tuberosities divides the perineum into an anterior urogenital triangle that contains the external genetalia and a posterior anal triangle that contains the anus.
