I agree - there is nothing what would be needed.
Note that SysTools SQL Recovery is Shareware program what mean you can download it for free but it will be in "trial" version with limited useable time and access. In this cause trial version is not enough to bring the files back...

I believe that another grand reset would hurt many people, that is why Sephiroth is trying to get latest DataBase back, but if there won't be other way - I see no other way than big rollback or even re-start.

I'm not MU player and I have not ever been, but even I'm trying to help. All I can say is good luck since i haven't found anything useful, but I'll keep look for.

 

if sephy can not recover DB my suggestion its to play from begining and that is........

 

there will be possibility that game restart from the beginning...

But we don't know anythings possible...

 

(lvl 389 and 1 reset is not much but i have to spend much time to get this) I can start from my last play or from begining, now i don't care just want to play DiabloMU NOW !!! waiting... :|

 

Yeah Sephi maybee is better to roll back 3 week or even a new start with a litle biger exp and drop-cose all of us wants to play--(my opinion-srry if else)
I had 3 rr and 364 lvl but instead of wait better i will start allover again

 

dosent matter with roll back 1,2,3 or 10 weeks, with the restored database or not or if we take the zero just we will be hapy with srv up

 

guyz i had 5 RR but doesn't matter to me...i want only to playso up up up with the server

Whatever decision you make Sephiro it will be a tough one. It seems there are no perfect solutions left.

As far as I can see there are 3 options:

-wait for a complete recovery of DB
-use a 3 weeks rollback DB
-make a restart of the game.

All options have their advantages and disadvantages as pointed out in the various contributions in this thread.

May I suggest you make a poll, so players can speak up?

It might help you to make a decision.

Honestly, dude just get the server back up i'm pretty sure that we are all anxiously waiting for the server to come back up. Even if it was a 3 weeks rollback DB, all you have to do is x2 exp or do something, i mean no one really loses out.(i have a 9 reset Darklord and 3 rr dw)All i wanna do is get back to the game.

Im actually glad that you are willing to do all this for us already.Rosebell made a good point about them having advantages and disadvantages but a poll would be a hassle. Just use what you have, do a nice rollback and we could all come online and enjoy the server again!

indeed, in fact i hope you'll just do a nice server reset so i'll be able to play tomorrow and still enjoy it like i did 1 and a half months ago. cheers

 

They can't reset DB each time a problems come. i'm right or not? U can speak about a wipe after 1 year or 2 but not after 3 month. Not all people can play 24 /24, not all are in vacation or something like that. People are also working and wanna enjoy 2, 3, 4 hour of playing online, not starting from begining every 2, 3 month.
For me, even i enjoy to play diabloMu, it was really hard to rise my char.

That's only my opinion.

 

Some info about what are you planning to do or ... atleast something
