Windows 8 problem

DiabloMU is not working on Windows 8 Developer Preview. Launcher works normally, it starts main.exe process but game window does not appear and after little while main.exe closes without any message. Game guard doesn't appear.

Is there any solution that let me play DiabloMU on W8?

 

I haven't worked with windows 8 yet, but see if it has the option to run in compatibility mode with windows vista / 7, also run as administrator. If that doesn't work your best bet is to post on the windows 8 forum, as it would be an O/S issue that they would need to fix. Let us know what happens.

 

Change the Compatibility to Windows 7 or XP SP3.

Many software are not running in Windows 8 so i suggest that you change your OS to Windows 7 if changing Compatibility doesn't work.

The Website announce this recommendation http://diablomu.com/index.php?page_id=downloads (We Recommend Windows 7 x86 (32bit) and i also recommend this to you. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate and it works perfect to DiabloMu.
