[WARNING]State Of The Game Economy

Well the Economic State of this game is going downhill real fast. Its like if you dont have 50+ DM Coins you will not get anything good on this server now. Because of this new players will start and see that they can not get anything and will eventually quit playing the server. I stopped playing for about 2 months. Come back to the game. Now the Exc Fenrir Set i was putting together will take 10 times as long now due to no one selling items for jewels anymore. Instead of 10-20 Jewels an item as it was. Now it is 5-10 DM Coins on average for an Exc Fenrir Warrior Pants+x+Luck+AddDefx+DSR/Ref/DD.

Ive been on this server for about a year or so now. Now everything i have is worthless due to this DM Coin thing. I have over 1k Bless/Soul that are worthless and only needed now to upgrade items I have to purchase with DM Coins.

Now I know theres going to be some kid come in my thread and post something about me being a "noob" and that if i cant get DM Coins i needa go play another server or wtf ever. I guess I'll just go and see how many Virtual DM Coins it takes to get a VIP Membership and get some BoK's or something and see if i can put my set together that way.

All in All im not crying or anything but I'm just saying that the way the economy state at this time will in fact drive away new players to the server instead of bringing them in. DM Coins are a great way of upgrading existing items I know this. But now having to have to purchase items is going over board. Just my thoughts though.

This was a great server. Perfect XP/Drop Rate to keep a player going. Good Admins and GM's. But I think you all should do away with the In-Game DM Coins and just keep em Virtual.

People are changing the currency from jewels to DM coins because of too many jewels floating on the server.


Characters with highest speed (or speedhack) will get the DM coins, therefor they will get richer and poor will stay poor.


That's kinda unavoidable

 

Regardless of the amount of jewels floating around. DM Coins driving the economy now is messing the server up BIGTIME. Its almost a MUSt now to become a Lifetime VIP Member also. Just to be able to get the items for certain that you need. I just read something on this server being Free to Play. But because of the economy right now. Might as well become a one time fee of $62.40 USD to be able to play the game now. Because the VIP members are comin to the F2P Server and selling the items they get from the increased Exc/BoK drop rate.

i mean c'mon im not one to say such things as this. But sheesh its ruining the game itself because of these players doing this. And I thought the server had an Anti-Hack thing in it. And with the state of the actual RL Economic Crash it's kinda hard to get $63 together to get that VIP membership ya know.

Im just saying this stuff because i do not want to see this wonderful server go down because of a couple of players who want to drive prices up on certain items ya know what i mean.

Also Aaape can you get a VIP Membership using Virtual DM Coins? I mean if i have to I'll just go to the VIP Server get some decent items and sell them so i can get my lvl3 BK wings and the 3 other Exc Fenrir Items i Need lol as they say

So basically you're saying that VIP server is ruining this server's economy ?

Even more basically, you're saying that VIP members have monopoly over certain items because f2p players can't obtain them on normal servers, so VIP players can overprice the items ?


In old times ppl bought those items for jewels, now they buy them for DM coins.
Afterall they're just few simple items which can't be obtained on normal servers and that's why people want them so bad ?

Meh, I'd call it pure need of having something rare, which you really don't need. Therefor people are willing to pay a lot for something which I for e.x consider as total crap.



Dunno about if VIP server DM coin request will be enabled some day, haven't really discussed with Ady for long time now.


People donate VIP for a reason


Either to level faster, get unique items, have better succes etc..etc...


Money = Power

That's how it goes in every aspect of whole existance

 

Eh after reading back through the post it doesnt matter how i state things i guess you just think i'm "whining" or what ever about this whole thing. but in turn I'm just worried about the newer players coming in and not being able to obtain anything and just outright quitting because of this fact you know. But i'll stick it out and keep trying to obtain the items. Maybe one day ill get lucky and get a drop in KT ya never know lol

 

Nah, just wait and see what new S4 brings up. It'll change the economy of game in to different way because of whole bunch of new items, and possibly a new currency.


But as far what it comes to DM coins as "money"...

It's just plain stupid to use DM coins as any kind of currency. Disabling whole event would make that problem go away, but it's up to SepH what he decides to do. And increase the amount of virtual dm coins from 2 to 3, or 2,5.

It's true that new players get bashed by the older generation nowadays.

 

LoL Sad thing is that I'm in that "old generation" of players lol. And never have I once cheated on any MMO game in way what so ever. But as I stated I just dont want to see numerous players(casual gamers)leaving ya know. That would kill the server all together ya know.

And the question earlier about Virtual DM Coins being used for VIP Membership was misstated I meant to ask also if Resets could be used as im getting near 50+ now and was wondering. Because before i left for a little vacation from the game. I THINK I read some where saying they could be used for like a week/month of VIP Membership or something. But I have been known to see things. So more than likely I'm wrong but would be nice lol

and Aaape I'm back inthe Guild Alliance by the way lol.
