Technical help (router)

Hi!

I've got a small problem. Just wondering mayb someone here knows how to slove it. So...of course i got an internet connection at home (adsl). There are 2 computers in the house so I bought a router to share the internet connection. Here comes the problem: when I play mu and internet comes through the router, i get disconnected very often. Its not just disconnection, my internet drops completely, I cant even log into my router. Its like when a router freezes. If I disconnect the router and get the line from the adsl modem, I never get disconnected. I know that the router got some sort of problem, mayb the heat,(router is pretty hot) ,firmware (I updated it ,didn help), cables are okay. My ISP is ok they never have any problems and I asked them. The router is a Dlink di-604,the adsl modem is a Dlink dsl-360R. Anyone got any idea? Or is Dlink simply rubbish?

 

so you buy router to have your 2 computer connects each other?

 

i bought the router to have both computer connected to the internet but now i figured out its the heat. dlink is a rubbish. there is a fan in front of the router now and it never disconnects

 

have conection ppoe ? .... ip dynamic or ip static ?
What kind of router is ?
Try looking on the rooter cd ...it should have a manual with...how to set the rooter
