   I know this was implemented at some point in the past from seeing old threads. But why Is it different now? Gix can you allow same-sex marriage again?

   It's not different, it's the normal thing.
   
   Same sex marriage was possible in older seasons, not in this one. And even so, it's something that could be abused so will stick to the normal marriage options.
