Events/bosses only because there are no 380 exc items here

 

Guiamuonline is a reference website for the official server not for private servers or this server. We disabled 380 items drop from normal monsters drop because these items cannot drop as non-exc and exc and it would make the events/bosses/misc that provide them as a reward useless in this case. Normal monster drop is hard to be controlled so everyone would get them in matter of minutes. Imperial is a good source for 380 high end items and there is no cooldown to it.

 

People go to lacleon to hunt for socketed items mainly rather than 380 since they are way better. A server that has 380 exc items won't care if non-exc ones drop from regular monsters but most who provide same settings as us normally place these items in events/bosses/chaoscards and so on. You don't consider the actual events enough for obtaining plenty of 380 items?

 

Definetly, an exc weapon could replace a 380 non-exc weapon in certain cases but that depends (yellow works on both), however a 380 weapon is not a high end item like it used to be in old seasons.

We initially thinked on having 380 +1 exc option items from the start but decided to go with non-exc ones because for some reason non-reset server players consider exc 380 items overpowered (obviously they are not but most got used to the old seasons where 380 was the best item in-game), however this left us room for possible future changes as an upgrade from non-exc to exc items is more appropiate than a downgrade from exc to non-exc since it cannot cause any damage in case of a revert.

 

Because everyone expects those items to drop from bok+5 as they always did (we used to have items up to dark phoenix but everyone who plays the new seasons still expects the drop of old seasons, if we would have kept the same setting you would be asking now why they don't drop so there isn't a middle way) and if you get more exc pieces a day you will look for +luck items and good exc options and throw away the bad ones while a 380 item is a keeper in most cases because you don't have to choose an exc option since there is none. As long as 380 are non-exc then adding them in a normal monster drop will make the end bosses rewards useless because there are no items left to be added in events like kundun, nightmare, balgass, imperial and everyone will simply afk a small ammount of time in lacleon to obtain them.

@sarkazmas, that is totally correct, it's the players that shout overpowered when seeing an 380 excellent item in a non-reset server, even though it isn't because as you said, the pink option applies to final damage not base damage. As I said, me and @Gix thinked a lot on having 380 items + 1 exc option from the begining but we decided it's better to start as default (non-excellent) and launch a poll later on, this way it will be the players choice.
