NPC Elf buffer

Hi,

I started a summoner today. I went to the elf buffer npc, got buffed, and started to level. At level 19 or something, i died. After ressurect i didnt have the buff from elf npc anymore. I went to him again, got buffed, and started to kill mobs again. After 10-15 mins, or something like that, the buff dissapeared, without dying. Isnt that buff permanently, untill relog or exit ? On other chars i dont have this problem, and buff lasts untill relog/exit.
