That's because you haven't followed the global instructions and you most likely entered dungeon1 before the start message.

When the event starts talk to the guard and you will be warped in front of the dungeon1 gate. You can only enter dungeon when the event starts (few minutes after you get warped), meaning when you see the GO GO GO global message, if you enter before this message or if you try to use warp/teleport inside of the event you will be desqualified and warped back to lorencia. Also dungeon warp is unavailable during the event as well as those who are inside of the dungeons will be teleported to lorencia until the event ends.
