FPS drops

    Hello there. I'm back again.

    I have a strange problem and i need your help . While I'm playing every 2 minutes my FPS ( frames per second ) drop low . These FPS drops last 3-4 seconds , but they are rly annoying. Imagine this while PVP.

    I haven't got this problem before in Blizzard MU.

    Hello Digimortal

    Do you use any software to calculate FPS or you just rely on visual effect of fps dropping down?

    If you get this just for 3-4 seconds, have your Windows Task Manager opened and fast switch to it when the fps drops down. Do you notice any CPU spikes during that? Also let me know your graphic card manufacturer name.

    I sense the FPS drop visually.

    My CPU reach 100% when FPS drop spike appear.

    Nvidia Geforce 6150SE Nforce 430.

    Exactly as I thought. That is the reason of those FPS drop-down moments.

    What process uses the most cpu during these spikes?

    Reasons could be:

    - overheat: change the cpu thermal paste, clean your pc of dust and dirt, use a temperature monitor software to check them in real time for all of your pc components
    - viruses, spyware, rootkits: clean your pc or even do a total format after saving your data do USB/external HDD/DVDs
    - faulty installed softwares, old OS without updates
    - fauly pc components that are going to die soon

    I cleaned my PC from dust and stuff today. Also i scaned for viruses. Everything is fine.

    Anyways i still got the FPS drops. I guess my PC will die soon.

    Have you checked temperatures?

    I'm suspecting the video card mostly because this is a signal from it most of times.

    How about trying to play a singleplayer game that requires decent to good graphic video cards. Try that out and see if the same is happening.

    It's strange because I don't have such problem in other servers and clients.

    Try to go back in time and remind yourself when this weird behavior started. What did you do in that day?

    How about trying to delete client, run CC Cleaner and reinstall the client.
