Client keeps closing

    Hello. I'm having some problem..my client keeps closing at random times. Sometimes within seconds into the game or few minutes. I could not play for more than 15-30 minutes. :( I tried everything, even disabling my firewall but still the client crashes. I also tried running the game in compatibility mode with win7 and win xp since I am using win8.

    That might be caused by a rootkit or malware inside your computer. Unless you open some certain forbidden processes and you didn't figured out they might be the reason then it sounds like some unknown processes are opening by themselves without you even knowing about and this is what usually rootkits and malwares do.

    Upload your llahlog.dat file so we can see if we find any clue there.

    Hello. Thank you for replying! I don't think i have llahlog.dat..what i do have is the llah.dll and lldb.dat from the muguard folder.

    The lllahlog.dat should be created inside the MuGuard folder. Delete the entire client and try a re-install to a different HDD partition.
    You may download the no-sound or full client and you don't have to apply the last patch since the client links have been already updated with the latest patch.

    Hello again! I've tried your suggestion and re-downloaded the client and installed in a different partition but the problem still persists. I even tried using a separate hard drive but same result. :( the llahlog.dat file can't be found in the muguard folder.

    If there is an active rootkit, re-installing the client on a different HDD won't help. Only a virus/rootkit scan or an OS reinstall would clean it.

    Already tried using malwarebytes and malwarebytes rootkit beta but still the problem persists.Maybe it has something to do with win8?

    No idea. Windows 8 is not that popular when it comes to games, lots of people are complaining about this so it might be one of the reasons.

    Have you set the compatibility to main.exe and launcher to XP SP3 ?

    Yes I already tried that setting the compatibility to win7 and winxp. I'm trying to run a deep scan with antivirus right now to see if that will help.

    Better switch back to windows7. Windows8 is known for creating lots of problems for old games like MU.
