Items after RR?

I just did a RR, didn't take my items off, logged in all they were red(due lack of stats), then i noticed that even tho it says def 555~ but it does not work, in order for it to work, i have to add STR and AGI, is that how it should work?

Also, for wings, will they start "working/functioning" when i reach the required lvl?

I noticed the same thing, too. I dealt 10 dmg to yetis at lvl 50, even though I had weapons that should've dealt at least 400-600 dmg to them.
