Witch type of person are you in relation with your "gaming machine" ? Are you a Laptop person? (LPP) hmy:  OR, Are you a PC person? (PCPP) hmy:  Select your choise, and GIVE A REASON! You can only pick one of them, witch you use/prefer the most! You can allso discuss other users' choises, why you would agree with them, or dissagree. Feel free to add your PC/laptop Specifications(hardware), to one or to how many you poses. Allso you can add a picture, or more with it/them, if u wish.
Me personaly, i'm a PCPP, i prefer a PC, and i use my PC most of the time, i hate laptops because there slow and hardware is resized to a portable fashion thereby redusing its performance to the minimum of the specified hardware components they contain compared to the exact same components in a PC. Bad things in laptops: they cost more, only few parts can be upgraded, the LCD is poor in color numbers, and the hardware components act to 30% max of the same components in real size(in a PC) in short, my opinion is that Laptops are in many ways useless,.... the only reason i have one is ONLY for traveling, the only advantages a laptop has is that it's portable, and uses less elevtricity. everything else i do on my PC What do u guys think?
i voted for PCPP, but im using laptop right now.:whistling: first of all, laptops are very hard to upgrade some parts are built in if one part is broken you have to replace the whole set. some new laptops are locked to new operating system, you cant downgrade it for example my laptop has vista OS cant replace it with WinXP. every month its performance is going down, fast over heat. the only advantage of this is portable, you can carry it anywhere. unlike desktop, you can replace parts you want to upgrade easily and parts are easily to find in the market you can buy new or 2nd hand (slightly used). this is my opinion, feel free to react but not violent reaction
i prefer laptop even though i`m using a pc i`m not a serious gamer so a laptop will be just fine for me i like it because it`s compact u can take it anywhere pc`s are boring bleax )
well i have to say im kinda both,3 lappys and 3 basic desktop's and im studying to work in IT-industry sooo yeah i cant really choose just one coz i have to deal with both ...when it comes to which one i personally prefer it depends on many things, and yeah im student right now so laptop is a lot more useful for me coz i have to travel a lot between meh home and studying apartment anyways for photoshopping, playing etc etc desktopå is always number one,no contest here due to large gap between performance then for such things as working with ms office and doing simple work laptop is usually beter option, also for watching videos off the net and surfing in the internet laptop usually takes it psperating system makes a lot of difference, for example with ubuntu+acer laptop (3years old)combination you can do pretty much the same things as with win vista+new desktop combination coz ubuntu is a lot lighter for serious work i prefer macbook
Well I kinda like both... For games is a desktop PC. Parts are easy to find and a lot cheaper than those that can be replaced on a laptop. on the other hand.. browsing, watching movies, chatting in bed.. that's the laptop..and the other plus is that it's portable so you can carry all of your work...
I voted for PC because I once had a laptop, but I easily lost it :glare: Anyway for PC Lovers: - they are very good stuff but sometimes you need to change the hard-disk(like I'll do next week) which costs 200$. -they have much more space that a laptop -they can't be lost  And for Laptop Lovers: -easy to carry -don't have so much space but it's ok -easy to lose
I prefer laptop because it is portable and occupies less space! I believe if you choose the right laptop you can play many games on it too (ofc you won't get the performance you would get with a pc and you won't have the ability to upgrade). P.S: This is my "baby" http://www.notebookcheck.net/HP-Pavilion-dv5-1199EG.13497.0.html
@Topic Personal Computer have 2 definition its either a Laptop or a Desktop. If your referring to PCPP= Desktop Computer, LPP=Laptop Computer I would choose Desktop Reason: I'm a heavy user when it comes in Computer.I usually open software at the same time(Games + MS Office + Web browser + Programming language + Photo Shop). Which a laptop cannot be capable of opening this application at the same time. Laptop has a limitation when it come's to games. Other games require a big ram and video card before you can play the game w/o a problem. My Desktop Specification: Processor: Intel Core I3 540.306 LGA1156 Mother Board: Gigabyte GA-H55M-S2V Ram: I have 2 Ram each one is 4gb DDR3 PC10600/1333 equivalent of 8gb of RAM Video Card: PALIT GTS450 2GB DDR 128BIT Hard Disk: Hitachi 500gb Sata HDD. Laptop is very handy and portable. I only use a Laptop when I have a presentation, school use and when i travel. Laptop Tip: Always charge and bring a charger when your going Outdoor.
I play in my desktop computer as I am a stay at home momma. The same reasons as others posted above about the competence of a desktop computer. I am not allowed to use the laptop for games because my hubby (he works with Apple) loves his laptop and he uses it for work and I don't want to ruin it.
A laptop is also a PC ( Personal Computer )... bad choice of options. It should have been "Desktop vs Laptop"
