.. hhhhmmmmm ... since this is a thriving server with many international players, how about we share our countries' customs and traditions, this way, we'll not be limited to just discussing about MU :p let's discuss something tangible :D :D and in this way, we'll learn something about each other ...

.. here's two common events that we'll start discussing, first state what country you come from and how you celebrate such events ...

    1, NOV. 1 .. ALL SOUL'S DAY/ HALLOWEEN:

    2. DECEMBER 25 .. CHRISTMAS DAY ..

    .. i go first ..

    .. I'm from PHILIPPINES ...

    1. During All Souls Day, people flock to cemeteries and they bring in food and stuff and they stay for the whole day. It's almost a festive atmosphere, most people are happy during All souls day. And one weird tradition is we place two candles on our front doors so that our dead relatives will know which house to go. :D :D

    2. Christmas ... hhmmm, the usual, you see christmas decors everywhere and lots of SALE on stores. People flock to malls to buy discounted items    .. to give as gifts to their loved one's. A mass is usually held around 11 pm. Parties all over town.. :D :D

    ... let's share people ...

Also, filipinos are being shoved out of the shops when its time for praying during ramahdan. :D

    ...Cebu, Philippines

January is coming, We will be celebrating 1 of the Philippines flamboyant grand mardi gras. Which is the Sinulog. This is held during the 3rd week of January. A day after the fiesta of 1 of Cebu's patron which is the Sto. Nino.

a little history of Sto. Nino de Cebu.

In April 1521, Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan, in the service of Charles I of Spain, arrived in Cebu during his voyage to find a westward route to the Spice Islands [1]. He persuaded Rajah Humabon and his wife Hara Amihan, to pledge their allegiance with Spain. They were later baptized into the Catholic faith, taking the Christian names Carlos and Juana. Magellan gave Juana the Santo Nino as a symbol of the alliance. However, Magellan died during the Battle of Mactan later that month, and the alliance became more or less moot.

    more to come. :D
