Hi , i have started to get random d/c every night , this has happened before in my life time , i don't understand why eternal mu sometimes uses 600 mb ram memory and sometimes 100 mb ram memory ( aproximate of course) , i'm sadly not very good at these type of problems because i have limited myself to only using a pc , not understanding how it functions , i also found some crash files in the client folder , i would like to know , is there anything i can do to lower the ram usage for mu online ? i have a i3 laptop , with nvidia optimus graphic card , and 2 gb dd ram , i want to play 4 accounts like i used to ,but i need some help , thank you guys ,

    have a nice day ,

Eternalmu client is heavy compared to most servers these days but cant really do anything about it. DC problem is probably at your end.

@Gix , @Ezekiel , can't we change the season of the server because i feel that click bug might make players move away , it makes pvp , hunting etc a little complicated , i personally don't mind because i am a rf and i don't need a lot of skills.

I would like to know ,

    Peace

We can't because it's not something that depends on us, once conders will develop a newer season/episode then we will be able to do it but Season 8 is what they currently offer and the client click bug is less important or annoying than having server instability issues, crashes, critical bugs, dupes, cheats which is the main reason of choosing current server files over others for this particular project, besides that main.exe will still require high ammount of cpu/ram for all new seasons too, (it's the client itself that is heavy, not the gameguard) especially for multi-boxing so you can't do much about this, it's how webzen coded the game client. The cpu/ramp consumption from your screenshot are perfectly normal for a Season 8 main.exe and newer seasons are not much different, they all ask for higher pc specifications.

Regarding your dc problem, check for llahlog.dat file inside MuGuard folder and send it to me. If there is no such file then your internet provider might experience issues that disconnect you from time to time and few seconds it's all what it takes to loose connection (in case of using a proxy connection, close that one too). Unless you are infected with rootkits or some other software gets into conflict with mu client you should be good as soon as they fix it on their end and your connection gets stable.

I think my RAM usage regarding MU dropped with windows 10 but this client is still taking a bit too much CPU for me compared to most other serve

Interesting @Offspring, I didn't knew that Windows 10 could play a role in that. As far as I know webzen focused on some client optimization in season 9 which could be the reason, however I'm not seeing any notable difference on my side between season 8 and season 9 in Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 and I don't have Windows 10 installed after seeing how many players complained on webzen forums about incompatibility because it's not officially supported. MU always used a lot of ram and cpu and the only chance of reducing these is for webzen to rewrite the whole game from scratch which I doubt it will ever happen and I would prefer they do that instead of releasing countless seasons.

We own the server but we don't own the complete gameserver files, they are two different things so just like 99.99% mu servers out there, it's the coders who own the server files and certain usage limits will apply through license usage, in most cases different game seasons are being offered but not all of them are available and each coders team has it's pro and cons. There are things that you might not understand but all private gamingservers are based on emulators, not everything it's a fast and easy development as you would think, webzen required several years to upgrade from S6EP3 to a fully bugged S11 and they own the game together with the server files, don't expect for private servers to be ahead of them. Feel free to send a message or a mail us next time when you want to ask an off-topic question don't hijack others thread.

MU will eat a lot of ram and cpu so those are decent values. Here is a screenshot where webzen mods explains the game requirements http://prntscr.com/bv7jyi and http://forum.webzen.com/forum/en/mu...-discussion/1118924-mu-online-pc-requirements. Starting with MU Season 8 all ram/cpu requirements are doubled or even tripled compared to previous seasons.
