Message to Players of Blizzard MU

Dear Community,


Recently most of us, myself included, have mentioned areas of the game in which we would like changed to “enhance” the game. We started multiple threads trying to get the rates changed, trying to allow the legalization of certain programs (auto loot and spin clickers). We also believed that by increasing the exp rates more people would come to the server. After a long thought I realize that this was not the way to go about it. We we’re incorrect because:

1) Increasing the experience by 1-3x would not bring more players to the server. Do you really think people looking for a new server would come here, see that it was 3x experience rate, and then not join because they want a 4x exp server? Get real. If people want a low exp server, they will see 3x and they will try it out!

2) In my opinion, the drop rate of jewels is very fair. I have managed to upgrade an entire set to +7, with plenty of spare jewels. This was done before the new system came out that allows players to acquire jewels by staying online via blizzpoints.

3) The drop rate in LoT also sounds very fair. From what FATE has posted they found about one ancient item per day. Well you hold the castle for a week at a time, so collecting seven ancient items by winning one CS sounds like a very fair reward to me.

4) Auto looters ruin the game. People continue to bring them up and say that they will bring a market to the game. Even if that is true, what is the point of playing the game if you can play it while you sleep? Alright, levelling in your sleep is fair enough as it would take way too much time to level while only active playing, but to be able to wake up with inventory full of bless, soul, chaos, heart of love, firecracker, gold medals, and not to mention ancient items if you’re in LoT is way too easy. This may create more of a market but it devalues players that actually hunt for their items, rather than set up their computers to do it for them. Also, the reason that we do not have a market is because we choose not to! We all have spare items lying around, instead of constantly levelling if we we’re to set up stores in lorencia we could start a market with the current population of players!

5) Spin clickers should not be allowed for a reason! By not allowing spin clickers people will rely on forming parties, which is a lot more fun! Also, if you look at the character that need spin clicker the most (DL), he is a very powerful class. Although he is a tricky character to level you will be rewarded for it with great power when you reach those high levels.

So then we must ask ourselves, how can we improve the quality of the server? Well my ideas include:

1) Advertise. This one is the most obvious and cannot be overlooked. Not only will advertising bring new players to the server, but you will be rewarded for your efforts by posting the links (See this thread http://forum.gamefobia.com/showthread.php?t=226826)! This will reward you in two ways, immediately impacting you by rewarding you with blizzard coins, and in the future by increasing the population of the server. Everybody says they advertise, yet I only see 4-5 people posting their links in the thread. So start advertising!

2) Be more friendly to players in game! For example, when I was levelling in tarkan this morning two players approached me. Right away I tried to party them as it was obvious they wanted to level in the spot I was in. However, they refused to party me, but instead said “KS will be good enough”, implying that they would rather KS me than party me. It is players like this that repel new players from joining. If new players see people have these attitudes they will not be interested in the server.

3) Stop criticizing the admins! They have done a great job of running this server. They have laid out a set of rules for us and they have always been there to enforce them. By criticizing them we take time away from their day, which could have been devoted to more important things.

Also I would like to formally and publically apologize to SephiroTH for creating a nasty thread a few days ago. So I am very sorry for my actions SephiroTH, I have learned my lesson and will not repeat those mistakes.

I disagree with mostly everything you said crusadius, but since sepiroth is happy i don't care , all i would personally want to make My game play more fun , would be the allowance of my bot to select the pick up choice , because I would love to wake up with jewels and items after afking, because you know crusadius you wouldn't? , of course not .
The only argument i got so far regarding the auto-looter is that it ruins game play , please do tell me how , i played global mu online , they also don't allow afk, but see what they do is try finding bots and block them .
But they do not post on their main website , "auto looters are not allowed = ban " no one would play global except the guys with + 15 exellent GD sets etc. . I played it with the auto-bot and guess what i didn't get as many jewels or items , as i did playing active in kanturu since you mostly afk in atlans ^^ ( lvl 327 sm ) , it just gives you the happy feeling of waking up with 2 hearts or so, and like after you come from school or work , maybe you had a bad day , now think sepiroth wouldn't that player that afked and auto-looted while he was gone,he just gets home has gotten pked and had a fight with a friend (imagine),now he sees his character and he is used to leveling , empty stash, but what is this sepiroth posted on the main website " Auto-looting is allowed , since your ranting wouldn't stop",now comes the second day , wouldn't he be happy to warp noria , repot his player, clear inventory and drop his 1 heart of love or box of heaven , it's like gambling , it makes people happy.
Of course if you get home and see your character pk'ed nothing inside stash , maybe only grew 1 bar you might even say " Oh f* this , what's the point" , you will be so mad you might even go - which is bad since you like the server but some players just pk ks you, but if you come home and got pked or are being ksed,you might push V and say , sweet a bless or a soul or 1 chaos or whatever, it might make you feel better and say i'm upgrading my exellent staff of destruction (+3% rise) going to pawn them pkers . Think about it auto-loot could make so many players happy.
