Autoupdater problem

    So i was playing DiabloMU last night and everything was working fine...and then all of a sudden the game closed down and i was unable to reconnect because the autoupdater would not connect me...so i searched the forum and found this thread...which is exactly what is happening to me...

    and so i did what was told to him in the thread...

    use the compatability setting for Windows XP...no change

    manually install the patch...no change

    i also reinstalled the whole DiabloMU folder and stuff and still no change...

    if anyone has any ideas of what i have done wrong or what is wrong with my computer or whatever...let me know please :D

    ask odiserg what he did ... that s my point. He didn t do any magic or i didn t gave him any secret hint but exactly what i posted there

    Since there are so many players connected it s pretty obvious is a problem from you right ?

    Try redownloading DMU patch or downgrade as i ve said there .... and if you got the client reinstall.

    Still ... smth from your computer is blocking the autoupdate ... check ur firewall also

    yeah its a problem from my computer but it was working perfectly fine 24 hours ago...

    i redownloaded the whole client and the patch didn't work...i downgraded it and it still gets stuck at the 75% like what happened to odie...i turned off my firewall and tried it with just that...still didn't work...any other ideas :(

    but after you extract and overwrite manually the patch the autoupdater doesn t need to work since the config.php alreadh has the newest version inside

    yeah but when i try and run the updater to get into game and i click on the "Start Game" button the launcher disappears and nothing happens

    tried that and it comes up as launcher also...and i don't have a main.exe to run so that can't be done either...and i have added you before

    i have gotten the launcher to work now...but when i select character to enter game whether it be one already created or a new one...i always get disconnected...

    sorry for double post...just updating on progress
