Question (New Season)

I suppose this answer was given in about 3 more threads.

We've been working for some time on Season6 Episode3 so the answer is yes. We'll be probably go with S6Ep3, near to bugless and later upgrade to ex107 (the new MU). The upgrade from S6Ep3 to ex107 will be made without any loss but the time is now known yet.

The S6Ep3 on the other side will be implemented soon as we finish the rest of tests. Not much left though, we still need to apply the fix for RageFighter skill tree and that should be all. We're also planning to turn the multiple servers into one bigger server

 

I can't guarantee about the wipe since first of all i want to get rid of some stuffs and secondly we'll be upgrading from sql2000 to 2008. The S6Ep3 has totally new db structure and it has lots of addons but the main point here would be the fact that everyone is waiting for a new start with the new settings that season6 will have. Therefor i need to think more on that and see what would be good for players and to revive the ones that got bored

Atm the current database has near 1 year online and it worked pretty good, GR was quite a success, but we have new great and better ideas in the season6

The server will be mixed meaning pvp + non pvp including gens pvp zones. Also the characters will remain ballanced as we tested the pvp for hours and it's gonna depend on the player skill a lot. Any character can be beaten and no character is overpowered. Even ragefighter is ballanced, thing which wasn't back when we runned S6Ep1.

We'll also come with new ideas and there will be some automated GM events and seasons events such as : summer event, xmas event, halloween, valentines, etc all of them working like the original mu server.

There will also be a lot of fun with the fully original working illusion temple event where all winning members earn a prize. Crywolf will have some worthy prizes and any event is supposed to be more attractive and give some nice prizes. The server will benefit of party exp bonus but things will still be quite hard as it's a 100 server.

HyperStor your experience would probably fail if you want to transfer database from s3 sql2000 to s6ep3 sql2008. Secondly, do not guarantee for something you don't know

I've already managed to convert and transfer things from s3 sql2000 to s6ep3 sql2008 and isn't that hard. You just need to convert first a db from sql2000 to sql2008 and then import some tables and procedures.

Now, as you see there are many ppl awaiting a wipe here and this you can see inside this thread. Ppl announcing they will return on new season and start from the begining.

So tell me you want a 50-80 players online or few hundreds 200-300+ and even more after few days / weeks?

Thirt, if you'll ever bring up into conversation the fact that i do not respect ppl work you should double, infact tripple thing of the stupid things you are saying. I'm assuming you are the one that is not appreciating the work we are doing here and our investments especially since i've gave 5000 EUR from my own pocket just to expand and give everyone even better gameplay experiences. I wonder how many owners out there will ever do this, and if this means i do not care for players work then you must be out of your mind.

I have re-thinked many things for the season6 that will give players the pleasure of doing events. For example, how many of you still go to crywolf event? I'll tell you that NONE. Well, in s6 crywolf event is an esential event as well as all the others so it will bring a lot more fun.

Also, party exp will be enabled so everyone will start communicate better and there are many other things that depend of a fresh start. Yes, you can upgrade to new seasons after a 1 year database without any important modifications towards market, items, etc but this is available for high exp servers, 5000x+ which are ment for pvp and nothing more. While on a 100x experience server is really important.

I haven't seen any low exp server going from s3 to s6ep3 and a pretty old database with the same stuff inside. Not even official webzen didn't continued with the same characters.

As always, some will be dissapointed but sooner or later they will see it's better like that

Full option sets will never come back HyperStorm. Depending on the wipe I am also thinking on changing grand reset because set+3 opt is quite the same as full option.

DSR is for mobs since 0.97d version, mana increase is useless for max stats, zen is also useless due to skill tree -- all these 3 are options for non-reset servers under 10x exp

So sets will have reflect + hp + damage decrease which is quite a full option set

So i'm already thinking on changing the grand reset to WCoins as reward.

Also we will have a vote reward on s6ep3, probably for WPoints, or Goblin Points
